Speaker Biographies


John Ward
John Ward, Chief Creative Officer, is a filmmaker who at 36 has over twenty years of experience. A child actor who appeared in his first movie at 12, by 25, he wrote, produced and directed his first film, Enchanted.

John is a committed Christian who regularly teaches high school students at Mariners Church as well as leads a small group of high schoolers. He and his wife Christy have two children, Cali and Jack, and reside in Newport Beach, CA
Jeff Pries
Jeff Pries is the Chief Executive Officer, Co-Producer and Founder of Liquid Productions, where he is responsible for bringing the pieces together to ensure creation of products that glorify God are developed within a highly-focused and financially discipline environment. He also is the theological backbone for Liquid, a role he is well equipped to serve through his vocation of over 12 years as the Small Groups Pastor and a member of the speaking team at Mariners Church. His greatest passion in ministry is trying to move people to talk about life honestly and helping them realize that they can tackle anything with God. Jeff is highly respected among his peers for his insight, humility and bluntness. He has spoken at large Christian conferences through-out the country and participates in numerous advisory boards of major associations, including Willow Creek Association.
 
Jeff and his wife Barbara reside in Irvine, CA where they stay busy as the parents of four kids under the age of 10. Jeff enjoys coaching and watching his children playing various sports and taking them to any UCLA game (Jeff was the number 1 draft pick for the NY Yankees in 1984 out of UCLA & can still throw a 90 MPH fastball).Jeff also enjoys baking chocolate chip cookies for his children every Tuesday evening.
